Privacy Policy

Last updated October 1, 2026. This policy explains how TradeBid handles information when you use our construction estimating tools.

Information we collect

We collect account and company details you provide, such as your name, email, business name, phone number, address, and trade. We also process the plans, scopes, photos, notes, pricing inputs, bids, and drafts you upload or create; payment and subscription status supplied by our payment processor; and limited technical, security, and support information.

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, operate the estimating workflow, generate and store your bids, provide support, process purchases, secure the service, comply with legal obligations, and improve the product using the choices you make in our cookie banner. We do not sell uploaded plans or bid content.

Improving TradeBid with your uploads

Unless you turn it off, TradeBid keeps copies of the plans, specifications, price books, estimates, and supplier price files you upload on or after October 1, 2026, and uses them to test and improve its estimating, for example by checking that fixture counts and prices come out right on real plan sets and by building examples our system learns from. These copies are stored privately, are only accessed by TradeBid staff and the providers listed below, and are never sold. You can turn this off at any time in Settings under “Help improve TradeBid”: we then stop keeping copies of your uploads for this purpose and delete the copies we kept. Turning it off does not affect your bids or the files they use.

Company names and logos

When an authorized representative grants permission under our Terms of Service, we may publicly display the company’s name and logo on TradeBid’s website to identify it as a customer. This permission does not cover private bids, plans, pricing, or personal contact information and does not authorize claims of endorsement. To withdraw permission, email mason@tradebid.org. Updating this policy alone does not grant permission for existing customers.

Service providers and automated document processing

TradeBid uses providers for hosting, authentication, database and file storage, payments, email, analytics (if you opt in), marketing measurement, and automated document-reading (OCR) document processing. Uploaded documents are sent to automated document-reading (OCR) providers to provide requested analysis and, unless you turn it off, when we test improvements on the copies described above. Do not upload material you are not authorized to share.

Retention and your choices

We retain account and project information while your account is active and as needed for legitimate business, legal, security, and billing purposes. Copies kept to improve TradeBid are deleted when you turn that setting off, delete your account, or ask us to delete your data. You can update profile information in Settings and request access, correction, or deletion by emailing mason@tradebid.org. We will verify requests and respond as required by applicable law. You can change optional analytics choices at any time using Cookie settings.

Security and children

We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security. TradeBid is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
